Answer Library

The Answer Library is useful when you want to add the same answer options time and again, in your current survey or in future surveys.

There are two types of answer libraries/lists: System-Defined and User-Defined Answer Lists.

System-Defined Answer Lists

SoGoSurvey offers an Answer Library filled with common answer sets, allowing you to add these system-defined answer lists to your questions without having to type the list yourself.

    1. Under the Design tab, create a survey or edit an existing survey>.
    2. Select to add any question.
    3. Add the question text and click on Answer Library.
    4. Click on ‘Get answer options from Answer Library’
    5. Select any system-defined answer list and proceed further to save the changes.2_highlight

 

User-Defined Answer Lists

Beyond the System-Defined options, you can create your own custom answer options and save them to user-defined lists.

  • Create user defined lists by saving current answer options
    1. Under the Design tab, create a survey or edit an existing survey.
    2. Select to add any question.
    3. Add the question text and answer options.
    4. Click on Answer Library.
    5. Select ‘Save current Answer Options in Answer Library’
    6. Name the list and save it for future use:
  • Using ‘Add New Answer List’ link
    1. Under the Design tab, create a survey or edit an existing survey.
    2. Select to add any question.
    3. Add the question text and click on Answer Library.
    4. Select ‘Get answer options from Answer Library’.
    5. Click on the ‘Add New Answer List’.
    6. Fill In the details and save the changes.

You can add a maximum of 250 answer options to a list.
