Question Bank

The Question Bank is where you can deposit questions from existing surveys in groups. These questions can then be used for your future surveys, thereby proving to be a great time-saver while designing surveys.

A group is where similarly themed questions are collected together. You can add, delete, and rename groups in the Question Bank.

Groups are displayed in the panel on the left-hand side of the screen.

Performing Actions on Groups

  • Adding a group to the Question Bank
    1. Under the Design tab, create a survey or edit an existing survey.
    2. On the left-hand side of the screen, navigate to the Question Bank and click on USER DEFINED CATEGORIES.
    3. Click on Add Category.
    4. Enter the group name and check the green mark.1_highlight

 

  • Renaming groups in the Question Bank
    1. Under the Design tab, create a survey or edit an existing survey.
    2. On the left-hand side of the screen, navigate to the Question Bank and click on USER DEFINED CATEGORIES.
    3. Hover on the group name.
    4. Click on the Edit pencil icon.
    5. Enter the new name and check the green mark.2_highlight
  • Deleting a group name in the Question Bank
    1. Under the Design tab, create a survey or edit an existing survey.
    2. On the left-hand side of the screen, navigate to the Question Bank and click on USER DEFINED CATEGORIES.
    3. Hover on the group name.
    4. Click on the delete icon.3_highlight

 

Depositing Questions to Groups

You can either deposit questions to an existing group or to a new group.

  • Deposit question to an existing group
    1. Under the Design tab, create a survey or edit an existing survey.
    2. Create or choose a question. Hover over the question text and click on More.
    3. Click on ‘Deposit to Question Bank’.4_highlight
    4. Click on ‘Deposit to an Existing Group’, identify the chosen group from the dropdown menu, and continue.5_highlight
  • Deposit question to a new group
    1. Under the Design tab, create a survey or edit an existing survey.
    2. Create or choose a question. Hover over the question text and click on More.
    3. Click on ‘Deposit to a New Group’.
    4. Enter the group name and continue.6_highlight

Performing Actions on Questions in Groups

  • Deleting a question from a group
    1. Navigate to the Question Bank in the left panel, then select the group.
    2. Hover on the question and click on ‘…’.
    3. Select Delete.
    4. When prompted to confirm, click ‘Ok’.7_highlight
  • Moving questions between groups 
      1. Navigate to the Question Bank in the left panel, then select the group.
      2. Hover on the question and click on ‘…’.
      3. Click on Move, then select the group where you want to move the question

Adding Question Bank Questions to Survey

Adding questions from the Question Bank saves you time and improves your consistency. You may re-use the questions in your Bank as many times as you want.

  1. Navigate to the Question Bank in the left panel, then select the appropriate group.
  2. Simply select the desired questions from Question Bank and drop them on the question canvas toward the right.

Question Bank is displayed only when the survey is in Edit mode.

– By default, Question Bank has a blank category named General.

– You can add a maximum of 50 groups to Question Bank, and each group can include up to 100 questions.

– Groups cannot be deleted while containing questions.
