Internet Explorer Support
Your data security is our top priority, and your security is dependent upon your choice of browser. Support of Internet Explorer 8, 9, and 10 was discontinued effective May 19, 2017.
Why did SoGoSurvey discontinue support of IE 8, 9 and 10?
Microsoft, who owns Internet Explorer, announced in its IE 11 Release Statement that it will only support the newest version of IE (IE 11) with security updates and technical support. Since we are committed to supporting data-secure environments, we highly suggest that you update your browser. Along with our partners, we want to dedicate our resources toward building new features to improve the survey experience for you and your participants.
What does this mean for Survey Administrators?
Users in IE8 to IE10 will not be able to log into the SoGoSurvey platform. Users attempting to log in with IE8 to IE10 will see a message asking them to update their browser to proceed.
Will my survey participants be impacted?
Participants taking surveys using IE9 to IE10 will be able to access and participate in surveys. If they are using an outdated IE browser, new and existing features and functionality may not work properly, and they will see a message notifying them that they are using an outdated browser. Performance issues that occur when using outdated IE browsers will not be investigated or fixed by SoGoSurvey.
What action do I need to take?
We strongly recommend that you and your organization’s IT administrators upgrade to one of our supported browsers..
